  • Water Security through Transboundary Cooperation: Examples from the United States, Canada, and Mexico

    This virtual program seeks to showcase how the U.S. approaches transboundary water cooperation with Canada and Mexico as well as the range of water management best practices that further water security in North America.  U.S. experts will engage with Mexican and Canadian counterparts to identify strategies and methods to foster longer-term information sharing, collaboration, and expert consultation.

  • Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the UN Trafficking in Persons Protocol

    This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the 20th anniversary of the U.N. Trafficking in Persons (Palermo) Protocol. In honor of this landmark occasion, the Government of the United States of America, the Government of Peru, and the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime will co-host a virtual panel discussion to discuss the importance of the Protocol in combating trafficking, historically and with a view towards the next 20 years.
